27 Apr BKL Welcomes Hanna Yanglou
BKL extends a warm welcome to its newest acoustician, Hanna Yanglou, who joined the firm in March 2017 after a successful internship during 2016.
Hanna graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of British Columbia (UBC) in December 2016. While studying at UBC, she interned with acoustical consulting firms and conducted research on auralization with UBC; acoustic soundscapes with British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT); and software development for open-plan spaces with Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS).
Hanna has experience developing 3-D acoustic models using Cadna/A and CATT-Acoustic software. She also has experience studying and assessing environmental acoustics, classroom acoustics and rail traffic vibration. She has conducted long-term noise measurements and reverberation tests, as well as ambient and background noise measurements.
She is familiar with acoustical instrumentation and has working knowledge of a variety of equipment including Soundbook, B&K sound level meters, and omni-directional, impulse and artificial mouth reference sound sources.
