25 Apr Welcome Katrina to the BKL team!
Over the past 48 years we have worked to maintain our position as the premier acoustical consulting firm in Western Canada. Continually achieving this goal is only possible through the hard work, dedication, and passion of our team.
As we continue to grow our company to support our clients, we are pleased to announce our newest team member: Katrina Scherebnyj, and we think that you will find her qualifications most impressive.
Katrina is an acoustical specialist with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from UBC and over 7 years of acoustical consulting experience. She is a great asset to BKL with her experience working on many prestigious international projects.
She was involved in the development of a computer model to assist the Vancouver Airport in managing aircraft run-up noise. Her past clients include Cambridge and Oxford Universities, Heathrow Airport in London, Pulkovo Airport in St Petersburg, and National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo.
Katrina was a co-author of Music Accommodation in Secondary Schools: A Design Guide, published for the UK Department for Education (UK, DfE) in 2010.
She has also worked on many refurbishment projects, including the conversion of St George’s Chapel in Great Yarmouth, UK (a Grade I listed building), which recently won a RIBA East Regional award (announced April 2014).
Further details on Katrina and the rest of the BKL team are on our Team Page.
