Eric Gu has been involved in various projects including on-site investigations, environmental acoustics, architectural acoustics, environmental noise modelling, mechanical noise control, long-term vibration monitoring, field testing, and noise impact assessments for residential developments.

He has performed noise and vibration studies for a wide variety of projects and noise sources. Through conducting on-site measurements and industry standard analysis, Eric has assessed impacts from transportation, construction, industrial, and commercial noise sources on sensitive receivers in the community and recommended acoustic treatment based on criteria set for the project.

Eric has experience with a wide range of acoustical and vibration measurement equipment including Brüel & Kjær and Soundbook analyzers.

He has recent experience with outdoor noise propagation modelling using Cadna/A and has used software such as SONArchitect, IBANA, Insul, and Dynasonics AIM for interior noise ingress and HVAC noise calculations.

Eric is a member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC and is currently working towards his designation as a professional engineer.
