Acoustical Experience: Renovation Projects

  • Renovation Project Acoustics

About This Project

Acoustical aspects of renovation projects can embrace all facets of the firm’s experience, from upgrading the noise isolation of the building envelope, through changing the room acoustics of interior spaces to improving the noise generation characteristics of the HVAC systems. The work may require consideration of interior geometry, surface treatments, wall constructions, and building system noise control.

The firm’s experience includes many notable projects, including:

Jubilee Auditoria

Calgary and Edmonton, AB
Major renovation of two 2,700 seat auditoria including improved auditorium acoustics (with Jordan Akustik, Denmark), exterior noise isolation and new, low noise, HVAC systems to reduce the interior ambient noise from PNC 35 to 40 to PNC 20 to 25.
